Soulstress singer/actress Jill Scott welcomes the summer season (it was released on the first day of summer) with the release The Light Of The Sun;  15 all-original funky and slow jams.  Perfect for a summer road trip.  The songs were the result of studio jam sessions and her incessant need to always write either songs, short stories, poetry or scripts.  Jill said she wanted this project to be "refreshing and revealing."  This sound can be found on songs like Womanifesto with its poetry-like vocals and on Hear My Call which showcases her magnificent voice while she talks to God.  So In Love is a feel good summer song with singer Anthony Hamilton.  She commented on the single that "if it makes you feel what I'm saying and makes you shake your butt - that's a good thing too".   A truly blessed soul that makes everyday, a sunny day.
