I had the pleasure of presenting an award with, hanging out with and being serenaded by Michael Kaeshammer at the 2010 Smoothies. All I can say is this German-born prodigy is as fun as he is talented! And talented he is indeed! The boy can boogie with the best (Rendezvous, ), honk his tonk (Tightrope), blues up his rhythm (Heartbeat) and cha his cha-cha (The-You-And-Me). Then he brings it way down and melts your heart (Remedy). The lead-off single - A Little Bit Of Love - is a pop jazz ballad in the style of Michael's award-winning Isabelle (2010 Song Of The Year). Catchy and simple and simply lovely. Kaeshammer says “I love music and food … At home I have dinner parties where I invite some friends and everyone cooks together. The day or occasion doesn't matter. I go shopping just for that meal and I don’t start cooking until people actually arrive, preparing food is part of the party.” On his latest CD Michael Kaeshammer cooks up one fine buffet of musical treats and then invites us all to dinner. Fiery fingers, vivacious vocals, magnetic melodies and luscious lyrics - one heckuva yummy meal from the consummate musical host.
