Peter White – Here We Go

Posted by Terry Sweeney on 2012/06/13

I’ve always loved  Peter White’s style of playing his acoustic nylon string guitar.  His music encompasses catchy rhythms that form a sonic landscape of instrumental melodies.  His 13th studio effort features eleven new songs leading off with “Night After Night”.  A song you might hear  at the airport while waiting for an overseas night flight. Exciting but chill at the same time.  That leads into “Time Never Sleeps”.  Mellow and invigorating like a good cup of coffee.  “Costa Rica” reflects his time spent in the beautiful country with a swaying catchy hook.  “My Lucky Day” has a reggae feel to it and be sure to check out the title track featuring saxophonist David Sanborn.  Andrew Neu and Kirk Whalum also guest star on sax.  A perfect album to put on when heading out for the summer vacation – “Here We Go!
